(4 -x)^2 - 2x

= 4^2 + X^2 -2×4×x - 2x

= 16 + x^2 - 8x -2x

= 16 +x^2 - 6x

= x^2 - 6x +16

= x^2 - 8x -2x +16

= x(x - 8) -2(x-8)

= (x-8)(x-2)

= x = 8 or x = 2

Answer:

(4 - x) {}^{2} - 2x = 0\\ expand \: this \: using \: (a - b) {}^{2} = a {}^{2} + b {}^{2} - 2ab \\ = 16 + {x}^{2} - 8x - 2x \\ add \: \\ = 16 + {x}^{2} - 10x = 0 \\ now \: facorize \\ {x}^{2} - 10x + 16 = 0 \\ = {x}^{2} - 8x - 2x + 16 = 0 \\ = x(x - 8) - 2(x - 8) = 0 \\ = (x - 8)(x - 2) = 0 \\ so \: the \: zeroes \: of \: the \: polynomial \\ = 8 \: \: and \: \: 2 \: \: ans
