  • The value of x is equal to 4 .

Given :-

  • 4(x - 2) + 3 = 11

To Find :-

  • The value of x ?

Solution :-

→ 4(x - 2) + 3 = 11

→ 4x - 8 + 3 = 11

→ 4x - 5 = 11

taking (-5) into RHS side and changing negative sign into positive we get,

→ 4x = 11 + 5

→ 4x = 16

→ 4x = 4 × 4

now, dividing both sides by 4 we get,

→ x = 4 (Ans.)

Verification :-

→ 4(x - 2) + 3 = 11

putting x = 4 in LHS,

→ 4(4 - 2) + 3 = 11

→ 4 × 2 + 3 = 11

→ 8 + 3 = 11

→ 11 = 11

→ LHS = RHS

Hence, the value of x is equal to 4 .
