EXPLANATION.
⇒ 4x + 2y = 10. - - - - - (1).
⇒ 6x + 3y = 26. - - - - - (2).
As we know that,
From equation (1), we get.
⇒ 4x + 2y = 10. - - - - - (1).
Put the value of x = 0 in the equation, we get.
⇒ 4(0) + 2y = 10.
⇒ 2y = 10.
⇒ y = 5.
Their Co-ordinates = (0,5).
Put the value of y = 0 in the equation, we get.
⇒ 4x + 2(0) = 10.
⇒ 4x = 10.
⇒ x = 10/4.
⇒ x = 2.5.
Their Co-ordinates = (2.5,0).
From equation (2), we get.
⇒ 6x + 3y = 26. - - - - - (2).
Put the value of x = 0 in the equation, we get.
⇒ 6(0) + 3y = 26.
⇒ 3y = 26.
⇒ y = 26/3.
⇒ y = 8.667.
Their Co-ordinates = (0,8.667).
Put the value of y = 0 in the equation, we get.
⇒ 6x + 3(0) = 26.
⇒ 6x = 26.
⇒ x = 26/6.
Their Co-ordinates = (4.33,0).
Both the curves are parallel to each other.
