Answer:

4(x + 3) = 12 - 2(3 - 4x) \\ 4x + 12 = 12 - 6 + 8x \\ 4x + 12 = 6 + 8x \\ 12 - 6 = 8x - 4x \\ 6 = 4x \\ x =  \frac{6}{4}  \\ x =  \frac{3}{2} .

GIVEN:

4(x + 3) = 12 - 2 (3 - 4x)

SOLUTION:

4(x + 3) = 12 - 2 (3 - 4x)

==> 4(x) + 4(3) = 12 - 2(3) -2(-4x)

==> 4x + 12 = 12 - 6 + 8x

==> 12 - 12 + 6 = 8x - 4x [Grouping like terms]

==> 6 = 4x

==> x = 4/6

==> x = 2/3

∴ Value of X is 2/3
