To solve :

4( x + 3) - 2( x - 1) = 3x + 3

Solution :

4( x + 3) - 2( x - 1) = 3x + 3

=> [ 4x + 4 × 3 ] - [ 2x - 2] = 3x + 3

=> [ 4x + 12 ] - [ 2x - 2] = 3x + 3

=> [ 4x + 12 ] + [ -2x + 4 ] = 3x + 3

=> { 4x + 12 - 2x + 4 } = 3x + 3

=> { 4x - 2x } + { 12 + 4 } = 3x + 3

=> 2x + 16 = 3x + 3

Inverting this -

=> 3x + 3 = 2x + 16

=> [ 3x - 2x ] + 3 = 16

=> x + 3 = 16

=> x = 16 - 3

=> x = 3 .

Hence , the value of x = 3 is one of the roots or solution of the above equation.
