Formula used..

(a + b) {}^{2}  =  {a}^{2}  +  {b}^{2}  + 2ab

Now put value :-

 {(4 + x)}^{2}  =  {4}^{2}  +  {x}^{2} + 8x \\ 16 +  {x}^{2}   + 8x =  {(4 + x)}^{2}
