x - y =  33 if 4/x + 6/y = 18/xy and 4/x + 9/y = 63/xy

Step-by-step explanation:

4/x + 6/y = 18/xy

multiplying both sides by xy

=> 4y + 6x = 18

4/x + 9/y = 63/xy

multiplying both sides by xy

=> 4y + 9x = 63

9x - 6x = 63 - 18

=> 3x = 45

=> x = 15

4y + 6x = 18

=> 2y + 3x = 9

=> 2y + 45 = 9

=> 2y = - 36

=> y = - 18

x - y = 15 - (-18) = 33
