Hello user

Let the age of A, B and C be x,y and z resp.

ATQ

x+4+y+4 = y+z +16

x-z = 8.....(1)

Also,

x-4+z-4 = 32

x+z = 40....(2)

Solving (1) and (2), we get

z = 16 years.

So, age of C is 16 years.

Hope this helps

\bold\green{\underline{\underline{GIVEN:}}}

  • 4 year's hence the sum of age of A and B
  • will be 16 year's more than the sum of the
  • present age of B+C

⟹(A+4)+(B+4)=(B+C)+16

⟹A+B+8=B+C+16

⟹A-C+B-B=16-8

⟹A-C=8

\bold\purple{\boxed{A-C=8.......(1)}}

  • 4year's ago the sum of A's age and C's age
  • was 32 year's

⟹(A-4)+(C-4)=32

⟹A+C-8=32

⟹A+C=32+8

⟹A+C=40

\bold\orange{\boxed{A+C=8.......(2)}}

  • by solving equation 1 and 2

⟹A-C=8

⟹A+C=40

  • By adding equation here

⟹2A=48

⟹A=48/2

⟹A=24

  • Putting the value of A in EQ 1

⟹A-C=8

⟹24-C=8

⟹-C=8-24

⟹-C=-16

⟹C=16

Hence,

\bold\pink{\boxed{The\: present\:age\:of\:C=16\:year's}}
