To find :

• what are their ages now?

Solution :

Let ramu's age be x

let rahim's age be 3 + x

their age now ,

x + 4 = 3x + 4

Their age after 2 years

= x + 4 + 2

= x + 6

And,

= 3x + 4 + 2

= 3x + 6

according to the question

3x + 6 = 2 (x + 6)

3x + 6 = 2x + 12

x = 6

Ramu's age

= x + 4

= 6 + 4

= 10 Years

Rahim's age

= 3x + 4

= 3 x 6 + 4

= 22 Years
