After 4 years it become 5:7

To find

Their present age

Explanation

Let their ages before 4 years a, b

Respectively,

Four years ago

a/b= 2/3

a= (2/3)b

4 years later means a+8, b+8

a+8/b+8= 5/7

7a+56= 5b+40

By solving

a= 32

b= 48

So their present ages are

a+4= 36

b+4=52

Thus, Present age of A = 36 years

Present age of B is 52 years
