Hey

Chemical formula of marble is CaCO3

Reaction with Dil.Hydrochloric acid:

CaCO3 + HCl==============>CaCl2 + H2O + CO2

It is an example of redox reaction

Reaction with zinc granules:

CaCO3 +Zn===========>ZnCO3 + Ca

Reaction of zinc granules with HCl

HCl + Zn========>ZnCl2 +H2

Answer:

Explanation:1)  this reaction is a neutralization reaction.

(2)  this reaction is a single displacement reaction.

Explanation :

As we know that the marble is a calcium carbonate. When calcium carbonate react with hydrochloric acid then it gives calcium chloride, water and carbon dioxide as products.

The balanced chemical reaction will be,

This reaction is a neutralization reaction in which an acid react with a base to give salt, water and carbon dioxide as a product.

When zinc granules react with hydrochloric acid then it gives zinc chloride and hydrogen gas as products.

The balanced chemical reaction will be,

This reaction is a single displacement reaction in which the most reactive metal displaces the least reactive metal.
