Suddenly, three young robbers entered the bank building and started firing. There was commotion and terror all around. The robbers ransacked the cash boxes at the counters. They were about to leave when two young men appeared from nowhere and caught hold of them. This encouraged the other customers to act. On 12 September, an attempt was made by robbers to loot Mezan Bank. There were three robbers, who had covered their faces. They entered bank around peak time of 11 am. They had weapons also and they shot fire upon entering the bank. The robbers got successful to take cash from the cash counters and lockers, however they were no successful enough to take the money with them. They were held by two brave men and eventually handed over to Police.
