Subject: Growing indiscipline among students and need of value education

Sir:

I am writing this letter to your good self to express my deep concern over the problem of growing indiscipline among students at schools and colleges. Rowdy behavior on school campuses and at entertainment centers are also on the increase. This indiscipline behavior does not let them focus on their studies and always leads to distractions.  If our country has undisciplined students, it will lead to increase in crime only; undisciplined students can’t contribute to the development and advancement of the nation.

What we need are students of great character and strong will. In order to make our students valuable citizens, they must be taught high morals. Value education in the curriculum can indoctrinate them to become boys and girls of high ethics.  

The students must be indoctrinated to keep values as top priority. The youngsters need not only to be taught how to develop their skills, talents, and abilities, they must also be taught how to use these skills, talents and abilities for the welfare and betterment of all. Once values become everyone's priority in life, all the negative aspects of life will automatically dwindle.

Through the medium of your newspaper I appeal to educational authorities to look into it and make value education as an integral part of school curriculum. Kindly give my views some space in your reputed daily.
