We can make an algebra statement out of this. 5n=40. We can confirm that 5 plants times a number = 40 cabbage plants. N is what we are trying to solve. You are going to want to divide 40 by 5, because if we switch the the equation around, it becomes 40/5=n. 40/5=8, so n=8, and there are 8 rows.
