40% of the fish in a pond are gold fish and the rest are koi.the no. of gold fish is g.The farmer then increses the no.koi by 10%.How many koi are there in the pond in terms of g now.

Let the number of koi be 'k'. And gold fish are g/(k+g)=0.4=2/5, k=3g/2. Now koi are increased by 10% i.e. 0.1k are added. Total number of koi are 'k+0.1k' = k(1.1) = 33g/20.
