Explanation:

Let The Number Of Passengers = x

Now Passengers Remaining At Station A = x-40/100*x = 3x/5

Now Passengers Remaining At Station B = 3x/5-60/100*3x/5 = 3x/5 - 9x/25

=> 6x/25

So This Equals 540

So

6x/25 = 540

x = 540*25/6 = 2250

So There Were Total 2250 Passengers In The Train
