Marks obtained is 320

Given:- Percent= 40% ; Total marks = 800

Find:- Marks obtained

Solution:-

Let the marks obtained be x

We know :-

 \frac{actual \: value}{total \: value} \times 100  = percentage

By formulating the values

 \frac{x}{800} \times 100 = 40

After cross multiplication

x =  \frac{40 \times 800}{100}

x = 320

Hence, marks obtained is equal to 320.
