15x-7y=51

on multiply eq.1 by 3 we get

3(5x-2y=16)

15x-6y=48

on subtracting both eq.

15x-7y-(15x-6y)=51-48

15x-7y-15x+6y=3

-y=3

y=-3

on puting value of y=-3 in eq.

5x-2y=16

5x-2(-3)=16

5x+6=16

5x=10

x=2

hence x=2 and y=-3
