In the adjoining parallelogram ABCD, determine the values of a, b and c.
Give reasons in support of your answer.

Answer:

Angle a = ANGLE BAC +angle DAC

Angle BAC = angle ACD................. Alternate angles

Angle DAC = angle ACB....................... Alternate angles

So angle a = 30°+40°

Angle a = 70°

Now

Angle a + angle b = 180

70 + angle b = 180

Angle b = 110

Now angle C = angle b............................... Opposite angles of parallogram are equal
