To find:-

Molarity = ?

and Normality = ?

Formula:-

molarity =  \frac{number \: of \: moles \: of \: solute}{volume \: of \: solution(litre)}

normality =  \frac{number \: of \: gram \: equivalents \: of \: solute}{volume \: of \: solution(litre)}

normality = molarity \times valency \: factor

Solution:-

Given,

400g of Al(OH)3 is dissolved in 750ml of water .

Volume = 750ml = 0.75 Litre

Valency factor of Al(OH)3 = 3 .

Molecular weight of Al(OH)3 = 78g .

mole of Al(OH)3

 =  \frac{400}{78} mol

So,

Molarity

 =  \frac{ \frac{400}{78} }{0.75}

= 6.83 M

and Normality

 = 6.83 \times 3

= 20.51 N .

Hope it's helpful to you.
