amount received by jae= x
then amount received by Jasper= 3x
and amount received by kas= 2 * 3x= 6x
as per condition,
6x +3x + x = 400
=10x=400
=x=40
thus, amount of money received by Jasper= 3x=$120

Given:

Divided amount = $400

To find:

How much amount does Jaspar receive

Solution:

Let x be the amount that Jae have.

Amount that Jaspar have = Three times as much as Jae

                                          = 3x

Amount that Kas have = Twice as much as Jaspar

                                      = 2(3x)

                                      = 6x

Total amount divided = 400

x + 3x + 6x = 400

10x = 400

$x=\frac{400}{10}

x = 40

Amount that Jaspar receive = 3(40) = 120

Therefore Jaspar receive $120.
