Given:-

  • Powe (P) = 400J

  • Time taken (t) =4s

  • Resistance (R) = 4 ohm

To Find:-

  • Potential difference across the resistor(v).

Solution:-

By using this formula

P = /t

Substitute the value , we get

→ 400 = v²/4×4

→ 400 = v²

→ v =√400

→ v = 20volt.

The Potential difference across the resistor is 20 volts.

Given

  • Power = 400 Joules.

  • Time = 4 seconds.

  • Resistance = 4 ohm.

To Find

  • Potential Difference across the resistor.

Solution

We know that,

Potential Difference is Given by :-

P = V²/r × t.

Here,

P = Power,

V = Potential Difference,

r = Resistance,

t = time.

Now, Put the values given.

↣ 400 = V²/4 × 4.

↣ 400 = V²

↣ V² = 400

↣ V = √400.

↣ V = 20.

Hence, Potential Difference Across the Resistor = 20 Volts.
