Given:

  • 400 mangies were purchased
  • They were purchased at rs. 125 per hundreds
  • They were sold at loss of rs. 100

To find:

  • S. P of one dozen mangoes

So, cost price = 400/100×125 = 500 rupees

And as its given that they are sold at a loss of hundreds:

SP = 500-100 = 400

Sp of 1 mango = sp/no. Of mangoes

Sp of 1 mango = 400/400 = rs. 1

One dozen = 12 units

Sp of 12 mangoes = 12×1

Sp of 12 mangoes = rs. 12

The answer for the following will be equivalent to 12
