Water is one of the natural resource. Water can be considered as a renewable resource when carefully controlled usage, treatment, and release are followed. If not, it would become a non-renewable resource at that location. Now a days, the lack of water has become a basic problem and to get rid of this problem we should encourage and motivate the people living in our neighbourhood or living in our society to save water and use it wisely.
We should motivate our friends and make them aware for saving water and not just friends we should aware each and every people in our society tell them the importance and usefulness of water, and with usefulness we must tell them the drastic consequences of the scarcity of water and the people who are suffering from it.
We should tell our friends about the people who suffer scarcity of water and how they live their day to day life without this important ingredient and still they are dealing with this situation. Like, if I take an example of a village, where typical Indian farmers cultivate their land and even today they are totally dependent on either rain water or any seasonal canal to irrigate their land so that they can grow crops. And if they get none of it then they gets depressed due to lack of food and lack of money and in this depression they are forced to take up loans from either banks or ‘zamindaars’ so that they can have some food and they can buy some seeds for their next crop, but when they are not able to repay the loan money due to bad crop result they become hopeless and do something very wrong; they give away their own life ( commit suicide).
So, no one thinks this way that a small mistake can be so dangerous that it can become life threatening and can force someone to commit suicide.
For you, you are just wasting 1 or 2 buckets of water in order to just cool down your body temperature in summers while taking a bath but meanwhile, somewhere else a farmer is going to end up his life due to the lack of those 2 buckets of water, because his crops dried due to the lack of water.
So don’t waste water maybe someday you regret this action of yours….
Story on how I motivated my friend to save water:
Everybody should be aware of our environment because it is going through worst possible things, and saving water is one of the forms in which we can help to save our planet. Therefore each one of us should do our bit. Here's a short story of my friend whom I convinced to save water. My friend lives in a very posh and high society of New Delhi where they had never faced any difficulties related to water supply. So she was very unaware of the ongoing water crisis in Delhi and was habitual of wasting more water than required. I have requested her many times to change her habit but she heard none of it.
But last summer, the water supply near her colony was also disrupted. They were left with only 200 liters of water and they had to use this for two days. For the first time she experienced such water scarcity and discussed the incident with me. I told her that whatever happened to her for only two days is the reality of most of the people living in Delhi, in several parts of India and the world. She then understood the importance and the scarcity of water and pledged to do her best to educate herself on this issue and to save water which is eventually very important in saving our planet.
