400g of vegetable oil of specific heat capacity 1.98J/gºC is cooled from 100°C. Find final temperature if the heat energy given out by oil is 47376J​

Given ,  m=400g,θ1=1000C,θ2=? , specific heat of  vegetable oil c=1.98J/g−oC,Q=47376J

Now ,  by the definition of specific heat c ,

                    Q=mcΔθ=mc(θ1−θ2)

or                 47376=400×1.98(100−θ2)

or                 (100−θ2)=47376/(400×1.98)=59.8

or                 θ2=100−59.8=40.2oC
