Answer:

Given = 40g of N₂

       N₂ + H₂ ------> NH₃

solution =

1st of all find out the number of moles , we can find the number of moles by applying formula,

no. of mole = Wt/ mol.wt

weight of N₂ = 40g

molecular weight of N₂ = 28g

no.of moles of N₂ = 40 x 10³/28 = 14.28  x 10²

weight of H₂ = 10kg

molecular weight of N₂= 10 x 10³/2

                                  N₂= 5 x 10³

according to balanced  reaction 1 mole of N₂  reacts with 3 moles of H₂

so, the amount of ammonia formed when 3 moles of H₂ react = 2moles

2/3 x 5 x 10³ = 3.33 x 10³ moles

molecular weight of ammonia is 17 g

so, 17 x 3.33x 10³ moles

     56.61kg.

so, the  weight of NH3 formed. is 56.61kg.
