. 40g salt is dissolved in a solution having concentration 10% w/w. Find the mass
of solvent​

concentration \: (mass \: by \: mass \: \%) =  \frac{mass \: of \: solute}{mass \: of \: solution}  \times 100

 =  > 10 =  \frac{40}{mass \: of \: solution}  \times 100

 =  > mass \: of \: solution = 400g

mass \: of \: solution = mass \: of \: solvent  + mass \: of \: solute

So, mass of solvent = 400g - 40g = 360g
