XXIX....X refers to 10 and IX refers to 9 so what I have done is I wrote X=10 two times this means 10+10=20...X+X =20 so then I wrote IX=9 and then you got your answer ...how?? 10+10+9=29 so X+X+IX=29
Matchstick should be 10+10+9=29 ya
