x = -2+y. ( from eq 1)
Putting value of x in equation 2.
2(-2+y) - y = 1
-4 + 2y - y = 1
-4+ y = 1
y =1+4
y = 5
Putting value of y in equation 1
x- y = -2
x-5= -2
x = -2+5
x = 3
Therefore the value of (x,y) is (3,5)...........
