Now 10% of a

 =  >  \frac{10}{100}  \times a =  \frac{a}{10}

Total Length of Side

 =  >  \frac{a}{10}  + a \:  =  \frac{11a}{10}

area \:  =  {(side)}^{2}  \\  \\  =   {( \frac{11a}{10} )}^{2}  =  \frac{121 {a}^{2} }{100}
