There is dark inside the forest because the dense vegetation obstructs the the sunlight and an environment of darkness is created in the forest,even at the daytime. ... - Due to this dense umbrella or blanket like layer of thick vegetation ,the sunlight is obstructed and the forest becomes dark even in the daytime.
