We need to find the numbers of multiples of 3

and 5 in the numbers from 1 to 100

Now since L.C.M of ( 3,5 ) is 15

So Number which is multiple of 3 and 5 must be the multiple of 15

So to find the number of numbers which are multiple of both 3 and 5 we find the numbers which are multiples of 15

Multiples of 15 in first 100 natural numbers:-

15 , 30 , 45 , 60 , 75 , 90

Number of numbers which are multiple of 15 in first 100 natural numbers = 6.

Thus the number of numbers which are multiples of both 3 and 5 in the first hundred natural numbers is 6
