Solution:

First Statement

427- ONE DIGIT IS RIGHT BUT IN THE WRONG PLACE

ASSUMPTION => We only know one digit is right but , in wrong place but, don't know which digit.

Possible numbers will be 4,2,7.

Second Statement

490- ONE DIGIT IS RIGHT BUT IN ITS PLACE

ASSUMPTION => We removed from our assumption because if we see both statements then 4 is at same place now too which proves previous statement wrong so , we can remove 4 from our assumption.

Possible numbers will be 2,7 and 9,0

Third Statement

032- TWO DIGIT ARE RIGHT BUT BOTH ARE IN THE WRONG PLACE

ASSUMPTION => We only know two digits are right but , both in wrong place but, don't know which digits.

Possible numbers will be 2,7 and 9,0 and 3,2

Fourth statement

156- ALL DIGIT ARE WRONG

ASSUMPTION => All digits are wrong so , we can leave these numbers.

Possible numbers will be 2,7 and 9,0 and 3,2

Fifth statement

593- ONE DIGIT IS RIGHT BUT IN THE WRONG PLACE

ASSUMPTION => We can remove 5 from assumption according to fourth statement. We can also remove 9 from our assumption based on Second Statement because 9 is at same place in both Statements. In Second Statement it says one digit is right and in its place and in this statement it says it is wrongly placed.

Possible numbers will be 2,7 and 0 and 3,2 and 3

So , possible numbers which we get from each statement are:-

2,7

0

3,2

3

Final Assumptions from possible numbers for three digit number:-

1. If we see collectively statements second , third and fifth we can come out with result that 0 and 3 are those numbers which will be in our final digit number.

Reason=>

(a) 4,9 are out of scope so , 0 is that number which is right and its place is also right. So , our three digit number will be _ _ 0

(b) 5,9 are out of scope too. In fifth statement , 3 is right but, at wrong place if we see fifth statement. We can say that 3 will be the digit in our final three digit number. In third statement we can 0 is at wrong place if we see Reason(a) and also 3 is at wrong place as it said two digits are at wrong place which makes 2 out of our assumption .

So , the code can't be _ 3 0 it can be 3 _ 0

(c) Now, we have to find last number which is pretty simple it will be 7 because in our possible numbers 2 is out of assumption. 3 and 0 are already at its place.

The final three digit number will be 370.
