it must be b) 16 cm as for the image to be of the same size as the object the object mist be placed at 2f which is at a distance of 8cm from the lens. The image is real i.e. on the other side of the lens and for it to be the same size of object it must be at -2f which is also 8cm away from the lens. therefore 8+8 =16 cm.
