Let total no. Of students be x

Given there are boys=1482

Also girls = 43℅ of x

Now,

x-43x÷100=1482

=> 100x-43x÷100=1482

=>57x÷100=1482

=>x=2600

Therefore total students are 2600

Now, total girls =2600-1482=1118

Answer:

let total studens=A,

girls percentage=43,

boys percentage=57,

According to question, we have

A×57% =1482,

A×57/100=1482,

A=1482×100/57,

A=26×100=2600,

therefore

number of girls=2600×43%,

=2600×43/100,

=26×43

=1118
