Fourteen Lives Saved
Once upon a time, there was a king. He had a huge palace and a huge garden. Everyone knew his love for flower pots. One day he received 15 beautiful flower pots as a gift from an emperor. He appointed one young man to take care of them.
One day, while cleaning the pots, the gardener accidently dropped one pot and it broke. Upon seeing this. the king got angry and in the feat of anger, gave the young man death sentence.
On the day of death sentence, the young man was asked about his last wish. He wished to see the remaining pots one last time. King granted the wish and the pots were brought to the royal court. He then broke all fourteen of them one by one. Angered, king asked why he did that. He told everyone in the court that he just saved fourteen lives. Amused, king asked for explanation. He then went on and announced, "If one broken pot can send me to death, why can't other pots send other fourteen innocent people to death!"
Upon hearing this, the king reflected on his mistake and forgave the man. He sent him away with a generous reward.
