A particle is projected with a velocity 50 m/s at a
angle 37° with horizontal. Time at which its verti-
cal component of velocity becomes half of its net
speed at highest point will be​

Intial vertical velocity = 50 sin 37= 30 m/s

Velocity at highest point= ucos 37= 50×4/5= 40m/s

And, general expression for vy

vy= uy-gt

uy= 30m/s

Now, just equate

30-gt= 40/2
