solution : a/c to question,

45 flowers were distributed between Priya and Shreya in the ratio 7 : 8.

let proportionality constant is x.

then Priya got 7x and Shreya got 8x flowers.

but total flowers = Priya's flowers + Shreya's flowers = 7x + 8x = 45

⇒45 = 15x

⇒x = 3

Hence Shreya got 8x = 24 flowers.
