Hello Dear,

◆ Answer -

Basicity = 2

◆ Explaination -

# Given -

W1 = 0.45 g

M1 = 90 g

V2 = 20 ml = 0.02 L

N2 = 0.5 N

# Solution -

For acid to be neutralized by NaOH,

N1.V1 = N2.V2

W1/(E1.V1) × V1 = N2.V2

W1/E1 = N2.V2

E1 = W1/(N2.V2)

E1 = 0.45 / (0.5 × 0.02)

E1 = 45 g

Basicity of the acid is given by -

Basicity = M1/E1

Basicity = 90 / 45

Basicity = 2

Therefore, basicity of the acid is 2.

Thanks dear...
