Solution :-

Given

Area of the rectangular tank i.e base = 700 m²

Volume of the rectangular water tank = 140 m³

Let the height of the water tank be 'h' m

We know that

Volume of the rectangular water tank = Area of the base * Height

⇒ 140 = 700 * h

⇒ 140/700 = h

⇒ 14/70 = h

⇒ 1/5 = h

⇒ h = 1/5 m

Height of the water tanks is 1/5 m

But we want the answer in cm

Converting height m to cm

1 m = 100 cm

1/2 m = (100 * 1/5) = (100/5) m = 20 cm

Therefore the height of the water tank is 20 cm i.e Option(2)
