45 workers take 24 days to dig a pond. How many more workers should be employed to dig the
pond in 18 days?

Answer :-

from data we can say that

→ In 24 days worker need to dig pond = 45

→ In 1 day worker need to dig pond = 45 * 24

→ In 18 days worker need to dig pond = (45 * 24)/18 = 60 workers .

then,

→ Number of extra workers needed = 60 - 45 = 15 workers . (Ans.)

As per the data given in the above question.

In the above question it is given that,

The given data is 45 workers take 24 days to complete a  piece of work,

We have to find how many more workers should be employed to dig the

pond in 18 days.

Thus, solving the equation we get,

Let the required worker be x,

45\times 24=x\times 18\\1080=18x\\x=\frac{1080}{18}\\x=60

Hence 60 worker required to complete the same work.
