Given :-

  • Potential Energy (P.E) = 4500 J
  • Acceleration de to gravity (g) = 10 (approx of 9.8)
  • Mass (m) = 50 kg.

To Find :-

  • Height (h)

We have to find the height (h) here and we know the formula of Potential Energy (P.E) = m × g × h

In this, we have P.E , m & g and h isn't there

So, we put the values and solve it

→ P.E = m × g × h

→ 4500 = 50 × 10 × h

→ 4500 = 500 h

→ 500h = 4500

→ h = 4500/500

→ h = 9

Thus, the height is 9 m

Answer

Given :-

  • Energy, E = 4500 J
  • Mass, M = 50 kg
  • Acceleration due to gravity, g = 9.8 m/s²

To find :-

  • Height - h

Solution :-

  • E = 4500 J
  • M = 50 kg
  • g = 9.8 m/s²

Substituting the value in formula :-

\boxed{\sf E = mgh}

\sf 4500 = 50 \times 9.8 \times h

\sf 4500 = 490h

\sf h = \frac{450\cancel{0}}{49\cancel{0}}

\sf h = 9.18 m
