According to the question :

 \frac{450}{4 + 5}  \times 4 \:  \: and \:  \:  \frac{450}{4 + 5}  \times 5 \\  \\  =  > 200g \:  \: and \:  \: 250g

450g can be divided as

200g&250g as a ratio of

4:5.

Let 450g is separated as x&y; therefore

x+y = 450g → (1)

According to the question,

 \frac{x}{y}  =  \frac{4}{5}  \\  \frac{x + y}{y}  =  \frac{4 + 5}{5}  =  \frac{9}{5}  \\  \frac{450}{y} =   \frac{9}{5}  \\  y =  \frac{450 \times 5}{9}  = 250g

Substituting y = 250g in (1) we get,

x+250g = 450g

x = 450g-250g

x = 200g
