(a) 3(x-1) + 7 = 13(x-2)
(b) 14x = 8/3 - 2x
(c) (-3)5 - 2 = -1(x-4)​

a) 3(x-1)+7=13(x-2)

3x-3+7=13x-26

3x+4=13x-26

3x+4+26=13x

3x+30=13x

13x-3x=30

10x=30

x=3

b) 14x=8/3-2x

16x=8/3

16x*3=8

48x=8

x=8/48=1/6

c) (x-3)5-2=-1(x-4)

5x-15-2=-x+4

5x-17=-x+4

4x-17=4

4x=21

x=21/4
