Given : demand and supply function

D=15-2p-p²  (this is correction in question)   and  S=p²-4p+11

To Find  : break-even point for the demand and supply

Solution:

demand function

D=15-2p-p²

supply function

S=p²-4p+11

break-even point for the demand and supply is when

Demand = Supply

=> p²-4p+11   =15-2p-p²

=>  2p²  - 2p  - 4 = 0

=> p²  -  p  - 2 = 0

=> (p - 2)(p + 1) = 0

p =  2 or p = - 1

P can not be negative

Hence p = 2
