As per the data given in the question,

In the above question, it is given that,

 A metal sphere of mass 1 kg.

Dropped from a height of 10m,

g=10\frac{m}{s^{2} }

We have to Calculate the momentum transferred by the metal sphere to sand.

By the formula of the final velocity,

v^{2} -u^{2} =2as

The initial velocity of the sphere is u=0,

v^{2}  - 0  = 2\times 10 \times 10\\            = 200 m/s\\v = \sqrt{200} m/s\\ = 14.14 m/s

Further, the momentum transferred by the metal sphere to sand=mv

=1\times14.14\\=14.14kg \frac{m}{s}

Hence the momentum transferred by the metal sphere to sand is 14.14kg\frac{m}{s}

While the given option (a),(b),(c) and (d) are incorrect.
