This is an example of direct proportion.
Because if the number of bags is decreased , their cost also
decreases.
The required cost will be less than given cost ; so the lesser quantity
will come as the 2 nd term.
Therefore,
48 bags of paddy : 36 bags of paddy = Rs 16800 : Required cost
Required cost = ( 36 × 16800 ) / 48
= Rs 12, 600
