Answer :-

The number of days taken to complete the task after 6 days is 12 days.

Solution :-

48 people could complete a task in 17 days

Total work to be done = 48 * 17 = 816 man days

Before 6 days Work done by 48 people in 6 days = 48 * 6 = 288 man days

Let the number of days taken to complete the remaining task after 6 days be 'x' days

Number of people when 4 workers leave = (48 - 4) = 44 people

Work done by 44 people in 'x' days = 44 * x = 44x man days

We know that

Total work to be done = Work done by 48 people in 6 days + Work done by 44 people in 'x' days

⇒ 816 = 288 + 44x

⇒ 816 - 288 = 44x

⇒ 528 = 44x

⇒ 528/44 = x

⇒ 12 = x

⇒ x = 12

Therefore the number of days taken to complete the task after 6 days is 12 days.

SOLUTION:-

Given:

48 people can do a work in 17 days.

So,

Total work=) 48× 17 = 816.

Work done by 48 people in 6 days.

So,

Total work=) 48× 6 = 288

The Remaining work:

=) 816 - 288

=) 528

After 6 days four workers left.

So, number of people working is;

=) 48 - 4

=) 44 people is working.

Now,

Total number of days required for 44 men to complete the remaining work:

 = > \frac{528}{44} \\ \\ = > 12

Therefore,

12 days take to complete the task.

Hope it helps ☺️
