Solution!!

Data → 49, 40, 54, 39, 38, 44, 48, 52 and 52.

Let's arrange the given data in ascending order.

Data → 38, 39, 40, 44, 48, 49, 52, 52, and 54.

We have to find the mean, median, mode and range of the above data.

Mean = Sum of observations ÷ Total number of observations

Mean = (38 + 39+ 40 + 44 + 48 + 49 + 52 + 52 + 54)/9

Mean = 416/9

Mean = 46.22

Median = (n + 1)/2 th term

Here n is the total number of observations.

Median = (9 + 1)/2 th term

Median = 10/2 th term

Median = 5th term

Median = 48

Mode = most frequent number in the data

Mode = 52 (because the other observations occur just once.)

Range = highest value - lowest value

Range = 54 - 38

Range = 16
