Hi ,

It is given that ,

50% of ( P - Q ) = 30% of ( P + Q )

( 50/100 ) ( P - Q ) = ( 30/100 ) ( P+Q )

( P - Q )/2 = [ 3(P + Q ) ] /10

P - Q = ( 6/10 ) ( P + Q )

P - Q = ( 3/5 ) ( P + Q )

5( P - Q ) = 3( P + Q )

5P - 5Q = 3P + 3Q

5P - 3P = 3Q + 5Q

2P = 8Q

2P / 8 = Q

Q = P/4 ---( 1 )

Q = x % of P [ given ]

Q = ( x/100 ) P -----( 2 )

( 2 ) = ( 1 )

( x /100 ) P = P/4

x = ( P × 100 ) / ( 4 × P )

x = 25

Therefore ,

x = 25

I hope this helps you.
